We keep our privacy notice under regular review. We reserve the right to change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

This privacy policy sets out how Clapham Community Choir uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and you can be assured that any information you give us will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Name

  • Contact information including email address and/or phone number

  • Relevant Harmony Part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass)


What We Do With the Information We Gather

The information you provide when you email us or fill in the contact form on our website allows us to respond to your requests appropriately. We require this information to get in touch with you, to understand your needs and in particular for the following reasons:

  • To contact you about joining one of our choirs

  • To keep you up to date with our choir news and opportunities

  • For our internal record keeping

  • To improve our services.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Use of Third-Party Data Processors

We do not sell or otherwise transfer to outside parties your information, apart from sharing data with trusted partners who help us in the essential functioning of our organisation.

We use a third-party service, Squarespace, to host our website: www.claphamcommunitychoir.org / www.singclapham.org (both domains point to the same website). 

We have recordings from YouTube hosted on our website. We can monitor these sources to see when people have listened to or watched one of our performances.

If you pay for our services via direct debit, your data will be processed by GoCardless. Learn more about their privacy policy here.


Cookies

Like many websites, we do use cookies. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. All information gathered is anonymous.  A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can normally change your browser setting to decline cookies if you wish to.

Your Rights

You have the right to access and/or update your personal information, as well as the ‘right to be forgotten’ by EU law. Requests should be sent to info@claphamcommunitychoir.org  We do, however, reserve the right to retain any information that may be reasonably required by law (for tax purposes etc.).

If you would like to be unsubscribed from any of our mailing lists - there is a link at the bottom of every email we send. You can also email info@claphamcommunitychoir.org and we will action this as soon as possible.

Complaints or Queries

Clapham Community Choir aims to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints we receive about this very seriously.
